Brass Bushing Kit (2 Qty) for 1960’s-86 Ford & Jeep 3 Speed/3 Speed w/Overdrive/4 Speed Transmissions. Brass Bushing Kit addresses Cluster Gears that have “Pitted” Internal Bearing Journals, but still have great reusable Gears. The Brass Bushings are an Astro Transmission Exclusive Product that provide additional life from a Cluster Gear that is no longer made but unusable due to internal pitting where needle rollers use to ride.
Notes:
-Brass Bushings feature a “Key Slot” that allows oil to enter to provide proper lubrication to countershaft pin and cluster.
-Press-In Fit ensures a Tight-Fit. But, we also recommend to Loc-Tite the Bushings into cluster for extra insurance.
-When Bushings are pressed into the Cluster, it is a great idea to run a countershaft pin thru prior to installation. As the cluster bushings will “compress” when pressed in and could cause for a too tight fit. If pin will not pass thru the bushings you may want to run a brake hone thru each bushing after pressed in to allow for the pin to slide freely in and out of cluster gear.
-Use of Brass Bushings eliminate the use of needle rollers in between the countershaft pin and the cluster gear. Saves End User/Builder time!
- Shipping rates: Cost is Dependent on Location and Service Selected. Rates are based off of Service Selected, Location, Product Dimensions, and Product Weight.
- Delivery times: Orders are Generally Processed within 24 Business Hours of Order being Placed. Business Hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00am-5:00pm EST. Astro Transmission Parts is not open on the weekend.
- Shipping methods: Packages less than 150 lbs. are shipped thru either UPS, Fedex, or USPS. Packages heavier than 150 lbs. are shipped via Truck Freight (LTL). Feel free to contact us for more information.
- Shipping restrictions: All Orders Placed must share the same Billing and Shipping Address. We WILL NOT ship parts to an Address different from the Billing Address supplied. International Customers contact us for a shipping quote prior to placing an order. Import Duties/Taxes/Fees are not included in price of shipping service charged by Astro Transmission Parts.
- Return policies: All Returns are Subject to a 15% Restocking Fee. Freight Charges are Non-Refundable. It is Customers responsibility to return an item(s) for Credit. Again, Freight Charges are Non-Refundable.
- Shipping delays: 2 Business Day Handling Time. Shipping Delays caused by Carrier used are not the fault of Astro Transmission Parts. Once an order has left our Warehouse it is up to the Shipping Carrier/Provider to get the package to a Residential or Business Address.
- Order processing time: 2 Business Day Handling Time on All Stocked Orders. Manual Transmission &
Transfer Case Orders can take up to 1 Business Week to process and ship.
