Shift Fork Plate Upgrade (2005-18 Jeep Wrangler NSG370 6 Speed)

2005-18 Jeep Wrangler 6 Speed NS370 Transmission Upgrade!  This Upgrade is not something someone that has never built/repaired a NSG370 6 Speed Transmission should do.  This Upgrade is meant more towards end users that know how a Manual Transmission works and isn’t scared to perform some modifications to the existing fork assembly for this plate to work.

Upgraded Plate can be installed on an original shift fork assembly, New or Used.  The original black lined bushing the fork assembly wears out on every NSG370 6 Speed Transmission we have ever tore apart.  In the past the option for replacing the black plastic bushing was to buy a Brand New $750+ Fork Assembly.  But, now it is very hard to get NSG370 Parts for a 8+ year old Non-Production Model.  That is when we decided to look at options for replacing the Fork Plate.  Some have already developed shift fork pads for the forks that have “removable design”.  So we went a step further and found that if we were to make a plate with alignment bushings/hollow dowels.  Astro has cut a Aluminum Fork Plate, by means of a Water-Jet Machine.  When we did this we decided to remove the whole idea of a black plastic insert for the rails to ride back and forth on.  We drew this conclusion from the other Aftermarket Design Plates that are made out of Brass Only.  Our Plate works as good if not better than that of the Brass.  Ours will not get “Gold Shavings” spread throughout the gearbox causing end user to feel that synchronizer wear is evident.  Steel on soft material like brass causes this. Therefore we went with Aluminum Material in our Design.  Our Plate will allow the builder/end user to know that the shift fork pads will not wear out due to the shift fork plate mis-alignment.  We have installed hundreds of these plates with Zero Issues.
